  • Infrared filter for infrared photography
  • Suitable for IR effects and wood effect
  • Does not block the entire visible light spectrum
  • Enables images with visible and invisible IR components

B+W infrared filter - the special filter for extreme contrasts. With the B+W infrared filter, the existing residual sensitization can be used for experimental black and white photos.

Green leaves and grasses are reproduced from light to white. A "wood effect" with a dramatic contrast between clouds and sky can be achieved.

PRACTICAL TIPS
IR effect only occurs in bright light
Adjust the image sharpness before screwing on the filter
Observe the infrared engraving (if present) on the Lens
Select a small aperture
Determine the exposure time using a test series
Use a tripod due to the long exposure times

NOTE
Check the IR capability of your camera: Hold an IR remote control in the direction of the camera and press a function button. If a white spot of light can be seen on the camera monitor, the camera sensor has sufficient residual sensitivity.
IR images must be subsequently optimized in an image editing program.
The colour image can be converted to black and white.
Increase contrasts automatically, better using a histogram.

IR Red Dark 695 (092)
This not so strong infrared filter does not block the entire visible light spectrum and enables images with visible and invisible IR components. The black and white contrasts are not as high.
