10mm focal length with f/3.5 on full format
This is the world's first Lens to offer a very fast focal length of 10mm with f/3.5 for full format cameras without fisheye effect: Straight lines remain straight, even at the very edges of the image. The distortion of straight lines so typical of wide-angle shots has been reduced to such an extent that it is virtually undetectable - see sample images.

Samyang XP 10mm F3.5 is a manual high-performance lens, optimized and developed for the latest DSLR cameras
The lens was developed for cameras with a 35mm full-frame sensor to enable crystal-clear photo and video recordings. It is the brightest Lens of its kind and is perfectly suited for the latest DSLR and DSLM cameras with a high pixel count. The outstanding optical resolution of the lens allows photos of over 50 megapixels and enables filming in 8K.

Unique perspectives
Wide-angle Lens open up unique creative possibilities for photography and film. Compositions can be created in a completely different way, as suddenly so much more fits into the picture than you are used to with normal focal lengths. For example, this Lens captures two streets meeting at right angles with ease. This wide-angle lens is therefore particularly suitable for landscape and architectural photography, but also for interiors (not just for estate agents). For portraits, however, a focal length between 50 and 80mm is recommended, as this angle of view corresponds most closely to that of the human eye.

Enormous width and great depth of field
The Lens has an exceptionally short focal length. With a close focusing distance of just 26 cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is particularly suitable for sharp and high-contrast images from a short distance. Thanks to the good speed of 1:3.5, optimum images are also possible in unfavorable lighting conditions.

High pixel count for excellent optical functionality
The outstanding imaging performance is thanks to the sophisticated optical system. This consists of 11 groups with 18 lenses and thus sets new standards. Particularly noteworthy are the three aspherical lenses, three ED lenses and one HR lens. The aspherical lenses (ASP) minimize aberrations by reducing unwanted light scattering. The ED (extra-low distortion) lenses prevent chromatic aberrations. The HR (high refractive) lens optimizes the beam path and thus ensures a clear and bright image. With these matched high-precision aspherical and high refractive lenses, the various possible aberrations are minimized, resulting in a clear image. In particular, this Lens has excellent distortion correction and offers excellent resolution from the center to the edge. The lens hood also prevents disturbing lateral light incidence and lens reflections, which would lead to a loss of contrast.

Built-in chip
A chip built into the Lens, which communicates with the camera via the interface on the mount, enables working with automatic exposure or program mode. EXIF data such as aperture and focus setting are also transferred. This also enables the camera to signal in the viewfinder or on the display whether the subject is in focus. The interface is also used to set the aperture via the camera.

Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
The Samyang XP 10mm F3.5 is designed for full-frame format. You can of course also use it on cameras with smaller sensors, for example APS-C. As a correspondingly smaller section of the full-frame image circle of the Lens hits the sensor, the angle of view is also smaller (130° for full-frame, 104° for APS-C). The image content of the APS-C image is therefore a central section of what a full-frame camera would show. Aberrations usually occur at the edges, especially with wide-angle Lens, so the quality for APS-C cameras is always maximum.
